5 tips to avoid vape battery explosions (FDA)

R.J. Reynolds Vapor Company initiated a voluntary recall of Vuse Vibe power units, recalling the battery portion of all Vuse Vibe vape devices. The recall followed consumer complaints of power devices overheating which can create a risk for fire or injury. The recall covers all 2.6 million Vuse Vibe devices sold.

Recall Instructions:

  • Stop using your Vuse Vibe
  • Unscrew the tank from the power unit
  • Do NOT charge your Vuse Vibe power unit

The batteries in the device can overheat and catch fire or explode if charged or used, discontinue use and charging immediately. R.J. Reynolds will continue to sell Vuse Solo and Vuse Ciro devices as the company claims the batteries are different and not affected. You can contact R.J. Reynolds for information about the recall, how to return the devices, and how to receive a refund.
